Tuscaloosa, AL (Sports Network) - Alabama's second-leading scorer, Tony
Mitchell, has been suspended indefinitely.
Per the Tuscaloosa Bureau on Monday, Alabama coach Anthony Grant said Mitchell
was being benched for conduct detrimental to the team, but did not elaborate.
Mitchell is averaging 13.1 points and seven rebounds per game this season.
"[Mitchell] is a big part of what we do...but it's just one of those decisions
coach made and you have to adjust to it and step up," Alabama guard Andrew
Steele said on the school's website.
Alabama, sitting at 15-7 following a double overtime win over Ole Miss on
Saturday, next plays at Auburn on Tuesday.
