As Super Bowl MVP, Eli Manning is of course on his way to Disney World. But a trip also awaits Tom Brady and his defeated New England teammates, if they want some beach time.
In a classic example of jumping onto the bandwagon with commercial zeal, the Aruba Tourism Authority has offered all the Patriots all-expenses paid trips to the tropical island nation.
In a statement, authority CEO Ronella Tjin said: "We want to acknowledge and celebrate the hard work, dedication and season-long success of the team, despite their loss. We believe there is no better place to recover after a loss than Aruba. After all, we are known as 'One Happy Island.' "
Maybe, but we're guessing that that the island of Manhattan is even happier in the wake of the Giants' victory.
