(CNN) - Director James Cameron has won another lawsuit.
A former employee says Cameron stole the idea for his blockbuster hit Avatar.
On Wednesday, a California judge tossed out a 2011 lawsuit. Eric Ryder claimed Cameron stole plot elements, settings and other details from his story called "K.R.Z. 2068."
The judge ruled there is no evidence Cameron did not independently create the film.
Avatar grossed nearly $2.8 billion in box office receipts when it was released in 2009. Since then, there have been a number of lawsuits from writers and artists saying Cameron borrowed their work. Some of those cases are still pending.
