Los Angeles (KTLA/CNN) - The band that brought us "A Horse with No Name" is now immortalized on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

America got a star in front of the Musician's Institute today.

The surviving members, Gerry Beckley and Dewey Bunnell, were there, along with actors John Stamos and Billy Bob Thornton.

Beckley, Bunnell and Dan Peek met at a high school in London for the children of armed forces personnel.

Peek died last year.

America put out more than two dozen albums over the past 30 years.

Some of the band's other huge hits include "Ventura Highway" and "Sister Golden Hair."

Tuesday, Beckley and Bunnell are appearing at a sold-out acoustic set at the Grammy Museum.
