Maplewood, MO (KSDK) - Civil rights leader Reverend Billy Kyles spoke to students at Maplewood-Richmond Heights High School Thursday. It was part of a Black History Month ceremony.
Kyles is the last remaining person who spent the final hours of Dr. Martin Luther King Junior's life with him.
Thursday, he spoke about the power of a dream.
"Hold fast to your dreams. If dreams die, you're like broken-winged birds that cannot fly. Martin Luther King taught us to dream," said Kyles.
Reverend Kyles made two presentations to students and also held a discussion session.
