Madison County, IL (KSDK) - A 21-year-old Collinsville, Illinois man was charged Monday with criminal damage to property over $300.
The Madison County Sheriff's Office says they responded to a property damage complaint just after 5:30 p.m. Saturday in Collinsville.
Police say they were told Mason L. Sykes threw a vehicle exhaust system at the victim's car which broke the windshield and damaged the roof.
Sykes reportedly threw the system at the car after getting into an argument with a family member who was a passenger in the vehicle.
Police found Sykes at the intersection of College and Fairmount Avenue. He was taken into custody without incident.
Bond is set at $10,000.
