St. Louis, MO (KSDK) - A man from the Walnut Park neighborhood has been convicted of killing a man following a road-rage incident in 2011.

33 year old John LaDaniel Dailey of the 5400 block of Claxton was found guilty of first degree murder in the shooting death of 19 year old Christopher Walton-Jones.

Jurors who heard the case against Dailey took just over two hours to return the guilty verdict.

Authorities say Dailey shot Walton-Jones during an argument that broke out between the victim and Jones who were in separate vehicles in the 8500 block of North Broadway in the Baden neighborhood.

The victim was inside a southbound car on Broadway when he and a woman driving the car were nearly struck by a pick-up truck that Dailey was riding in.

Walton-Jones and Dailey then argued between the two vehicles when Dailey opened fire on the victim, and killing him.  The woman inside the targeted car was not injured.

Dailey was also found guilty of first degree assault and armed criminal action and will be sentenced to life behind bars in July.
