St. Louis, MO (KSDK) - St. Louis Homicide detectives are investigating the shootings of two people early Wednesday in south St. Louis. The end result was one person killed and the other hospitalized.
Authorities responded to the shooting call behind a residence in the 3600 block of Montana Street around 3:30 a.m. and found one man on the ground in the gangway and a second person behind the house.
The man found dead has only been identified as a 46-year-old man who had been shot in the face. The second person was shot in the face, the chest and the back and was transported to an area hospital with critical injuries.
Police began a search of the area including several alleys where it's believe the gunman fled.
No immediate information was available on a motive for the shooting and no names have been released.
