St. Louis (KSDK) - A St. Louis alderman is suing the city treasurer.
The lawsuit filed by Alderman Fred Wessels claims that treasurer Larry Williams broke city policies when he outsourced parking services in 2009.
Wessels says more than 70 treasurer employees were laid off when Duncan Solutions took over in 2009.
The suit hopes to stop the treasurer from renewing the contract with Duncan.
Williams is up for re-election this year.
Wessels is running against him.
