St. Louis (KSDK) -- Do you know a kid who is making a difference? Build-A-Bear wants to know. It is time again for the annual Huggable Heroes search. Build-A-Bear Workshop is looking for young leaders, ages eight to 18, who are making positive contributions to their communities and around the world.
10 young people will be selected as 2012 Huggable Heroes. Each will receive a prize totaling $10,000, including a $7,500 educational scholarship and $2,500 as a charity donation.
Build-A-Bear Workshop created the Huggable Heroes program 9 years ago to recognize the volunteer efforts of young people, encourage them to continue their good deeds and to inspire other kids to become involved in helping their communities and the world.
Anyone ages 8 and up can nominate a young person to be a Build-A-Bear Workshop Huggable Hero. Kids can even nominate themselves.
Entry forms are available at Build-A-Bear Workshop stores or you can submit a NOMINATION ONLINE through February 27th.
