ST. LOUIS (KSDK) - November is Lung Cancer Awareness month. The disease is now the number one killer in America, claiming 160,000 lives every year, including nearly 4,000 Missourians.
The group Lung Cancer Connection is not only trying to educate people about the disease, but it's also trying to raise awareness by hosting it's 5K Fun Lung Run & Walk.
The race is Saturday, November 5th, 2011. Registration is at 8:00 A.M. and the race starts at 10:00 A.M. at Creve Coeur Lake Memorial Park.
