KSDK-- Veterans were remembered in a wreath laying ceremony Sunday at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.

The St. Louis-Jefferson chapter of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution honored all service men and women.

They also listened to remarks by the president of Fisher House, which will break ground in St. Louis this week. Fisher House is a temporary residence for family members of veterans that are being treated at the VA Medical Center.

Daughters of the American Revolution is one of the largest and most active service organizations in the country.

The national Veterans' Day observance is on November 11.
