14th Annual Susan G. Komen St. Louis Race for the Cure®, locally presented by Wells Fargo Advisors

The Susan G. Komen St. Louis Race for the Cure® raises funds for the local fight against breast cancer, celebrates breast cancer survivorship, and honors those who have lost their battle with the disease.

Local Dollars Making a Local Impact

Seventy-five percent of the net dollars raised through the Race stays in the St. Louis community to fund life-saving breast health and breast cancer screening, treatment, education and support programs. The remaining 25 percent goes toward groundbreaking global breast cancer research, including vital research being done here in St. Louis. More than 100 percent of the funds raised in St. Louis since 1999 have come back to St. Louis.

Fundraising for the Cure®: Take the Power of 10 Challenge
Once you have registered for the Race, there’s much more you can do to help raise additional funds for the local fight against breast cancer. When you register for the Race, a personal Fundraising for the Cure web page is automatically created for you. Upload your own photos and tell the story about why you are participating in the Race. You can also send emails from your Fundraising page to friends, family and colleagues asking them for their support.
Each Race participant is challenged to raise $100 beyond their registration fee. Just ask 10 friends to donate $10. That’s $100, enough to pay for a screening mammogram for a woman in our community who otherwise could not afford it.

A Tribute to Breast Cancer Survivors
Breast cancer survivors are the stars of the Komen St. Louis Race for the Cure and an inspiration to us all! Breast cancer survivors who register for the Race and wish to be recognized will receive a complimentary pink cap and pink T-shirt provided by Zeta Tau Alpha and Bank of America, sponsors of the Breast Cancer Survivor Recognition Program. In addition, breast cancer survivors can meet on Race day at the Schnucks Survivor Pavilion and enjoy complimentary breakfast items.
